01—Using Your Brand Colours in Your IG Stories
Your brand colors are like your business's secret sauce—they tell your story without saying a word.
Here's how to make them work overtime in your Instagram Stories.
Steps for Adding Your Brand Colors to Instagram Stories
01-Create an small color palette
If you have a brand guidelines, take a quick screenshot of your colors on one page.
If not, then create a quick design in Canva with all of your brand colors in circles (or squares) in one spot and save.
02-Save to your favorites image folder on your phone
Bring the photo into your phone and save in your favorites folder, or create a content folder. You want to save it in a spot that you can easily access.
03-Create a new Instagram story
Create a new story in Instagram like you normal.
Use the smiley icon to bring add a photo.
Select the color palette photo that you previously saved.
Make it smaller and move it out of the way of where you want to place your text.
04-Add your text
Click on the letter icon and start typing in your text.
Select the color dropper and hover over your color palette until it picks the color you want.
Repeat with each text block you’re adding.
05-Delete the color image
When you’re all done colorizing your story, drag and drop the color palette into the trash
Now your Stories will maintain that perfect color consistency that makes your brand instantly recognizable, even when your audience is speed-scrolling.
Other ways to use your brand colors on in your Instagram story
Full brand color backgrounds, drawing of lines and doodles, and even colorize your links.
To apply your brand color to a a full background, simply click on the 3 dots in the top right corner of the story, select ‘Draw’, then use the eye dropper to select your brand color, then hold your finger on the background of the screen. This will fill in the full background.
This is a great way to keep your brand colors consistent if you are reposting your reel or post and want the keep the background on brand.
